ADMISSIONS INFORMATION

Admission to FAMF is required in order to register for any of the courses offered. FAMF will maintain a transcript on file for all students admitted to the school. Parents will be provided with a copy of this transcript upon request. FAMF will keep an academic transcript of the courses taken at the school and maintain records of previous courses taken at a public school and/or transfer credits (if in accordance with FAMF's policies concerning credit transfer).

NON-DISCRIMINATORY POLICY

Faith Academy of Marble Falls admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to its students and does not discriminate on the basis of race in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, or athletic and other school-administered programs.

PARENT AND STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Children must be accepted to FAMF through a formal admissions process. Both parental involvement and student cooperation is essential for FAMF to fulfill its mission. Therefore, as a condition of acceptance to this school, the parents and student applying for admission must fulfill the following requirements:

a) Parents must provide FAMF with a completed application form for each child applying for admission, including academic records, health forms, and other information as specified in the application packet. Students will not be admitted without complete records.

b) Parents and students must sign a form stating their acknowledgement of our Statement of Faith as an expression of who we are and what will be taught in the classroom AND expressing their own personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

c) Parents and students must be willing to abide by the school's rules and regulations as expressed in our handbook or by the administrator.

d) Parents must be committed to providing partnership instruction in the satellite classroom on the days that the child is not attending FAMF in order to provide quality education in accordance with the laws of the state of Texas. Parents are responsible for providing regular structure for completing home assignments, checking assignment sheets and monitoring the student's completion of these assignments, and helping the student as needed. Students are strongly discouraged from working during reasonable school hours on the days that they are not attending FAMF.

e) The family must be active members of the Body of Christ and regularly attend a Christian church.

f) Parents and students must be committed to the university-model learning experience and Christian environment of FAMF. Each student must be willing to adhere to FAMF's "Student Code of Conduct," "Dress Code Policy," and all other policies.

g) Parents must be willing to use a Christian Conciliation Service to settle any disputes.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Attend an Information Meeting
This is required so that parents fully understand the expectations of their involvement in the education of their child at FAMF. Parental involvement is mandatory.

Review All FAMF Material and Pray
Please carefully go over each handout given at the information meeting. If you have any questions, please contact us. Pray about this important decision.

Complete the Admissions Forms
Once you are convinced that this is where your family should be, complete the application (one supplement per additional child), include the $45 application fee, and return it to FAMF.

Family Interview
Each family applying for admission will be interviewed in order to verify that FAMF is the best educational option for your child. This meeting also enables us to personally answer any questions about FAMF. The admissions committee conducts this one-time interview. Someone will call to arrange the interview once your application has been processed.

Letter of Acceptance
Once the interview has been completed, each family will receive a letter informing them of the committee's decision. Once accepted, the student may register for classes. You must pay a deposit when registering that includes a non-refundable enrollment fee of $200 per student, $400 max per family.

Testing and Evaluation
Placement testing is required for all new students and can be completed at any point during the admissions process. The tests are given to determine the entrance grade level based on your child's Math and English skills in relation to our curriculum. Students who apply as seniors must pass the 12th grade placement test for both English and Math and meet with the Academic Advisor to obtain approval for registration. Parents should contact the office to schedule the test. A one-time $45 testing fee is required prior to testing.
